ARTIST INFORMATION
Alferio Maugeri (born in 1933) is an Italian Postwar & Contemporary artist who was born in Aci Sant'Antonio, Sicily, Italy. 
His biography includes:
Early Career: As a young man, he was involved in the restoration of churches, in the tradition of Renaissance masters like Michelangelo. During this time, he developed skills in trompe l'œil, creating artificial marble, using gold leaf, and enhancing religious frescoes. He also creates his own pigments.
Art Style: Maugeri is known for a personal style characterized by a light touch that focuses on harmony, light, and color. His work often falls under the categories of Post War Art, Realism, and Contemporary art. He is primarily a landscape painter but has also created cityscapes, still lifes, and flower still lifes.
Recognition: Maugeri is a member of the Paris Association of Arts, Sciences and Letters. His paintings have been exhibited in Milan, New York, Geneva, Osaka, and Tokyo.
