ABOUT THE ARTIST:
GHAMBARO
IMPRESSIONIST ARTIST
Ghambaro was born in February of 1948, at Quandong, China, and studied at Jinan University. In 1970, he graduated from Quandong Fine Art Institute of China. Having first acquired a solid foundation of traditional Chinese painting, he studied and mastered the techniques of the French Impressionist style of painting.
In 1971, his paintings were exhibited at the Nanlin Cultural Center, Quang-xi Province, China. In 1972, he exhibited at the National Art Exhibition Center, Beijing, China. In 1972, he exhibited at LuiZhow Fine Art Center, Quang-xi Province, China. In 1973, he exhibited again at Nanlin Cultural Center, Quang-xi Province, China. In January 1977, the Art Institute of New Zealand invited Ghambaro to teach and paint. In September 1977, New Zealand Television broadcast a series of programs featuring his technique of Impressionist style painting. In 1980, he settled in the US, where he continues to contribute to the art world. Ghambaro has been a featured artist annually at Art Expo Shows in New York City from 1988 until the present. In December 1984 and January 1995, he exhibited at the International Art Center, Manhattan, New York. It has been said that if Monet had a child... they would paint like Ghambaro!
