Graciela Rodo Boulanger, born in La Paz, Bolivia, in 1935, is a renowned contemporary artist with a rich and diverse life story. 
Artistic Roots: Boulanger was raised in a highly cultured environment. Her mother was a professional concert pianist, and her father was an art connoisseur, ensuring she was surrounded by both art and music from an early age.
Dual Passions: She was a talented musician, giving her first piano recital at age 15. She initially pursued both music and art, studying at the National Conservatory of Music and the Academy of Art in Santiago, Chile, and later in Vienna, Austria.
Choosing Art: At age 22, in Buenos Aires, she made the pivotal decision to abandon her musical career to focus entirely on painting.
Education: She moved to Paris, where she refined her skills in etching and printmaking under the tutelage of the renowned engraver Johnny Friedlaender.Later Life and LegacyBoulanger returned to La Paz, Bolivia, in 2005, where she continues to live and work. She is recognized for her artistic style depicting children.
