This image may be of the famous Canadian fishing and racing schooner, the Bluenose. The original Bluenose was built in 1921 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, and raced undefeated in international competitions for 17 years. It served as a working fishing vessel and became an important Canadian symbol, appearing on the Canadian dime. The ship was unfortunately wrecked off the coast of Haiti in 1946. A replica, the Bluenose II, was launched in 1963 and serves as Nova Scotia's sailing ambassador.
