ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Oliviero Masi was born in 1949 in Busto Arsizio, a small town northwest of Milan, Italy. Over the past decade, he has proven himself to be a printmaker of exceptional technical ability and poetic sensibility. Masi's landscapes, which are influenced directly by the lyrical Italian countryside, explore the variable nuances of light and color using a sophisticated combination of soft-ground and aquatint techniques. The resulting prints are exquisite multi plate intaglio that have the look and texture of pastel drawing. Masi works have been exhibited extensively over the past 40 years in galleries throughout Europe, South America and Hong Kong.
