Riky Rothenberg
"In Green Pastures"
A Psalm of David. The Lord is My Shephard; I shall not want. He makes to me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for though art with me: thy rod and the staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runeth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.- Psalms 23

Her work...The artist, a passionate student of Kabbalah, expresses in images the knowledge in which faith meets poetry and philosophy allies with prophecy. The leitmotif of Rothenberg's work is the unique spirituality of Jerusalem, and its hallmark, an ecstatic atmosphere of glory and splendor, sorrow and hope, yearning and achievement, awe and joy. Rothenberg's body of work is the mystical quest. Jerusalem is a famous city filled with spirituality. In a flamboyant, polychromatic style, marshalling a multi-evocative set of religious symbols Rothenberg's paintings convey a durable message of love for God and faith in human destiny.
