ABOUT THE ARTIST
The paintings of Yuri Dupond are inspired mainly by the breathtaking landscape of the Israeli Galilee and by the beautiful landscapes he traveled through in Europe. He uses a technique that resembles the perspective effect of a camera lens. The focus is on a chosen subject at the front part of the painting, while the background panorama lends it a context and a boundary. The focal area of the painting is drawn in high precision lines and color, showing minute details and instilling a feeling that one is inside the composition.

Dupond was born in the Ukraine in 1961. As a talented young artist, he completed his studies at the ‘College of Arts' in Krakow. As his art blossomed, Dupond joined the ‘Design Academy' in Krakow along with other promising and established artists of his country. In 1996, Dupond immigrated to Israel dedicating himself solely to his favorite arts, painting and jewelry design.

Yuri Dupond has participated in group exhibitions and held various one-man shows.
